Carpenter Co. is the world’s largest producer of comfort cushion products. Register has constructed several facilities for the Carpenter’s Lakeland campus. The 135,000 SF urethane foam plant was constructed in two phases, which included a concrete tilt-wall warehouse and a shipping facility, as well as a prefabricated metal building manufacturing facility. The facility houses two 20-ton overhead bridge cranes used in the urethane foam manufacturing process.
The original project also included an 80,000 SF concrete tilt wall office and manufacturing facility constructed for the manufacture of expanded polystyrene.
Since the original project was completed, there has been a 90,000 SF addition. Most recently, a 45,000 SF expansion was also completed. The latest addition is a storing and curing facility attached to the polyurethane pouring plant.
