Take a peek up at the serene Lakeland sky. Chances are, you’ll see more than just a gorgeous blanket of blue. You’ll also see a blank canvas where dreams of flight take form.
With an impressive history of projects that intertwine with aviation, Register Construction has proven time and again that for those who dare to look to the skies, there are no limits.
The month of April is a special time for the aerospace community. The Sun n’ Fun Aerospace Expo serves as an annual celebration of innovation and passion for flight.
Register Construction’s partnership as a sponsor of this event extends beyond financial support — here’s how.
Keys to the World Aviation
With the corporate world often operating at a breakneck pace, convenience is king. That’s where Register’s Keys to the World Aviation project came in.
The 59,000-square-foot hangar facility is a testament to meticulous, high-end construction. It pampers not just the jets that call it home but also the executives who traverse the globe within them.
Every detail, from the 28-foot hangar door clearance that accommodates the largest jets to the 4,000 square feet of premier office spaces, speaks of an unparalleled commitment to excellence.
NOAA Phase 1
When it comes to weather, precision and resilience are non-negotiable. Register’s partnership with the City of Lakeland and the Lakeland Linder International Airport gave birth to the awe-inspiring NOAA Hurricane Hunters Facility.
A testament to ingenuity and foresight, the 58,000-square-foot Tilt Wall hanger with its 47-foot clear height and 206-foot clear span truss system stands as an engineering marvel.
NOAA Phase 2
As a continuation of the first phase of the NOAA project, NOAA Phase 2 was a 44,000-square-foot expansion to provide additional hangar space for new weather tracking and mapping aircraft.
Project Skylab
The Aerospace Center for Excellence’s (ACE) Project Skylab is a 23,748-square-foot educational laboratory.
It provides an immersive learning experience for aspiring aviators with state-of-the-art simulator training labs and a holographic theater and planetarium.
Continuing to Build for the Skies
As the familiar hum of aircraft engines fills the air during the Sun N’ Fun Aerospace Expo, Register remains at the forefront. The event’s 50th anniversary serves as a reminder of our growth alongside Lakeland’s aerospace industry.
Our partnership with the City of Lakeland and the Lakeland Linder Airport is showcased in our latest endeavor: the 9,600-square-foot metal LAL DB Hangar.
