This LEED Silver-certified complex includes four tilt-wall buildings: a 100,100 SF Sheriff Operations Center, a 13,300 SF Joint Communications Center, a 16,000 SF Crime Scene Investigation Facility, and an 11,600 SF Emergency Operations Center, designed for hurricane resistance and multi-use educational purposes. The Center is constructed to operate as an Educational and Instructional Facility. The Emergency Operations Center is comprised of administrative space and a call center, used as a multi-faceted educational and training facility, when not utilized by Polk County for Emergency situations. Register Construction was awarded the Construction Project of the Year, by the Ridge Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society, for their CM at Risk work on this project.
